Alternative shopping is provided by near by Castle Towers Shopping Centre, one of Australia's largest regional shopping centres located in the neighbouring Castle Hill, which is about 5 - 10 minutes drive away.

Winston Hills is located approximately 28km North West of Sydney and with the M2 Motorway within easy reach residents are able to travel to Sydney CBD within 30 minutes (on a good day).

School children are well catered for in Winston Hills with a variety of schools located in the suburb or within close proximity.

Winston Hills also comprises a variety of Parks and Reserves and maintains the picturesque quality, which The Sydney Hills is famous for - a unique combination of hills, creeks, parks and bushland.

Public transport is mainly provided by bus although trains are accessible from nearby Seven Hills or Pennant Hills.
